The Advanced Therapy Treatment Centres (ATTC) Network Programme is a groundbreaking initiative, creating a system of Advanced Therapy Treatment Centres within the NHS framework, coordinated by CGT Catapult. This network addresses the unique challenges of introducing pioneering Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs) to patients. The network has been operational for approximately five years and has secured funding for an additional approximate 4 years. The overarching objective is to expand and fully integrate the network into the NHS and establish the UK as a primary site for clinical trials of ATMPs.

The ATTC Network Activities Programme Manager plays a vital role in supporting the success of the ATTC Network and the adoption of ATMPs by the NHS. With substantial funding and an ambitious agenda, the ATTC Network aims to enhance the NHS's capacity and capability to conduct high-quality clinical trials for ATMPs, ultimately increasing patient access to transformative medicines. The ATTC Network Activities Programme Manager will work closely with the Director of ATTC Network Coordination to ensure the effective coordination and management of the programme.

Key Accountabilities:

Support Central Coordination of the Network:

  • Provide support to Director of ATTC Network Coordination and deputise as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with industry and the NHS to plan transformative projects that align with the network's objectives.
  • Support the ATTC/CGT Catapult Industry Advisory Group to act as a leading coordination body, discussion forum and thinktank for ATMPs in the UK.
  • Drive task and finish groups under the remit of ATTC/CGT Catapult Industry Advisory Group to develop standards, streamline delivery and improve quality of ATMP service provision (both on industry side and on the NHS side).
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at accelerating clinical trials in the UK.
  • Engage with existing ATMP manufacturers, supporting industry partners and the NHS to identify opportunities and challenges and jointly agree way forward.
  • Promote the accelerated adoption of ATMPs by the NHS.

Support Best Practices and Standards:

  • Collaborate with relevant bodies and stakeholders to develop standards and best practices for ATMP clinical trial execution and implementation.
  • Work with counterparts across NHS (e.g. ATTC, Cell Laboratories, Blood Services, Pharmacies, clinical trial units, Accelerated Access Collaborative, etc), industry bodies (e.g. ABPI, ARM, BIA, SCB, UKSLGAT) and regulators to deliver a number of standardisation initiatives using innovative solutions, wherever possible.
  • Develop strategies for optimisation of harmonisation of practices to appropriate quality and regulatory standards.

Contribute to Overall Programme Management:

  • Assist in overseeing the strategic and operational aspects of the ATTC Network.
  • Assist in delivering projects on time, managing resources effectively, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines and milestones to meet project expectations
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.

Other:

  • Support the establishment of a model of excellence for ATMP trial delivery and follow-up.
  • Assist in building an internationally recognised clinical trial network for ATMPs.
  • Support the maximisation of the ATTC Network's success through industry and stakeholder interactions.
  • Foster and maintain strong relationships with Collaborators and stakeholders.

Experience:

  • Experience in working with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • A track record of contributing to projects delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Equivalent employment experience within the clinical trial/advanced therapy/NHS sector is advantageous.

  • Highly motivated, pragmatic, and practical to support the mission of the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult to accelerate the development of a commercial cell and gene-based therapy industry in the UK.

Education / Qualifications:

  • A higher degree or equivalent employment experience within the clinical trial/advanced therapy/NHS sector.
